The ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine) and ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) have come out with suggested recommendations for which women should consider using a surrogate to have a child. A women who does not have a uterus.
A women with a significantly abnormal uterus; a uterus that is not compatible with a healthy pregnancy
Single males or males in same-sex relationships.
A woman with a medical contraindication to pregnancy.
Recurrent failure of a pregnancy to implant resulting in miscarriages.
A couple that has had infertility treatment failures.
