The mission of Midwest Surgical Center is to promote and assure high-quality, comprehensive women’s health care, including reproductive choices, in a safe environment.

Midwest Surgical Center (MSC) is a full service private practice focusing on obstetrics, gynecology, infertility, and women’s wellness care. Patient care with a strong commitment to education and advancement of women’s health knowledge is the primary focus of the practice. MSC keeps abreast of the new technologies and medical advancements in order to offer state-of-the-art medical care to our patients. We participate in research studies, both at the University of Illinois and as a privately contracted entity.

The primary objectives of MSC are:

• To maintain a health care facility to deliver primary care for women staffed by permanent specialty health care practitioners.
• To promote the health of the community by providing education programs and materials for the practice and the public.
• To help improve patient outcomes by respecting each patient and his/her rights and by conducting business relationships with patients and the public in an ethical manner.
• To continue to provide medical and surgical abortion services and to continue to actively promote women’s right to choice. MSC believes in the safe and equal access to abortions within the guidelines of the Illinois and United States laws.
• To achieve and maintain a licensed surgical center with improvements in quality improvement, risk management, state of the art equipment, and peer review.
• To continue to be a thought leader in the area of women’s health by increasing our women’s health clinical and basic science research.
